The Retrostar Chair Urban Codes combines timeless seating comfort with urban art. Developed in collaboration with the Berlin-based artist duo Studio Chrom, this limited-edition design reinterprets classic graffiti tags and translates them into a minimalist, clean design language. Monochrome, interlocking letters create a rhythmic pattern that appears both raw and elegant.
The generously padded, slightly curved seat and backrest, featuring steel springs, ensure comfortable seating even during extended periods of sitting. The seat, which slopes slightly backward, promotes a relaxed, reclined sitting position. The slender, tapered armrests made of solid wood—which are meticulously handcrafted—provide a subtle contrast.
The Retrostar Chair Urban Codes brings urban flair to living rooms, home offices, or reading rooms and is available in a very limited quantity. Once sold out, the series will not be produced again.

What is piping?
Piping is a cord encased in a fabric strip. It is used to embellish the edge seams of upholstered furniture or cushions, while also reinforcing them and making them more durable.
The slider shows an example and explains it very quickly:
Sustainability
Sustainability is a big word. Perhaps too big to use lightly. In an industry that likes to make promises, we believe in something simpler: taking responsibility for what we can actually influence. Not abstract offsets, but decisions that start right here in our workshop.
As a design manufacturer, we don’t make promises that we can’t physically verify on the other side of the world. Instead, we focus on what’s right in front of us: local integrity. Our wood is FSC-certified, our supply chains are short, and our production takes place right here at home. We don’t plant imaginary trees—we build furniture that lasts.
