The Retrostar Chair Gambit Edition combines timeless seating comfort with a special piece of film history. In the summer of 2019, we had the privilege of providing furniture for the Netflix miniseries *The Queen’s Gambit*, which was filmed primarily in Berlin. Our Retrostar furniture is featured primarily in the hotel sets in Las Vegas and Mexico—this special edition matches the original configuration of the two Retrostar Chairs from the Las Vegas hotel room where Beth meets with D.L. Townes for an interview.
The generously padded, slightly curved seat and backrest with steel springs ensure comfortable seating even during extended periods of sitting. The seat, which slopes slightly backward, promotes a relaxed, reclined sitting position. The slender, tapered armrests made of solid wood—which are meticulously handcrafted and feel comfortable to the touch—provide a striking contrast.
