The Bauhaus Special Edition of our Apollo Lounge is a tribute to the colors and forms of Bauhaus. Founded in Weimar in 1919, the Bauhaus began to focus on color theory starting in 1922. Itten, Klee, and Kandinsky are arguably the three most prominent representatives of this theory. According to Itten, colors are in balance when the eye can perceive them as a unified whole and the mixture of two or more colors results in a neutral gray. Although the Bauhaus was Bauhaus allowed to exist for only 14 years, its insights and developments were revolutionary and continue to shape our environment in many ways today.
