Sustainability
Sustainability and environmental responsibility are central components of Sternzeit Design.

Returned furniture is refurbished rather than discarded. Fabric Samples hand-cut from fabric scraps to minimize waste.

All fabrics are certified to at least the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and are REACH-compliant. All leather carries at least the Blue Angel eco-label. The materials come from selected manufacturers in Germany, Italy, Poland, and Portugal.

What is Piping?
Piping a visible, slightly raised seam edging found on upholstered furniture.
It is sewn between two pieces of fabric or leather and accentuates lines and transitions.

To me, the Apollo Lounge Chair more than just “retro”—sure, it looks great… but once I’ve sat down and propped my legs up on the Apollo Lounge Stool, the only thing missing is flying chicken drumsticks to make me feel like I’m in the Land of Milk and Honey. It’s my sanctuary; this is where I unwind, where I spend my breaks in a deep sleep—sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes 50… so comfortable and cozy.
