The Bauhaus Special Edition of our Retrostar footstool pays homage to the colors and forms of Bauhaus. Beginning in 1922, the theory of color became a central focus of the school, which was founded in Weimar in 1919—Itten, Klee, and Kandinsky were its most prominent representatives. According to Itten, colors are in balance when the eye perceives them as a unified whole and their mixture Grey a neutral Grey . Although the Bauhaus existed Bauhaus 14 years, its insights continue to shape our environment to this day.

Our wood is FSC-certified, our supply chains are short, and our production takes place right here at home. We don’t plant imaginary trees—we build furniture that lasts.
