Warranty

5-year warranty against defects in materials, design, and workmanship

In addition to the statutory warranty, we voluntarily provide a 5-year warranty from the date of delivery—for shipments to the EU, Switzerland, Norway, and the United Kingdom.

  • Covered: Material , design, and workmanship defects, such as defective seams or unusually premature wear caused by such a defect.
  • Not covered: normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, damage caused by animals, and improper cleaning.
  • In the event of a warranty claim: We will repair the furniture or replace the affected part at our expense. If that is not possible, you will receive an equivalent replacement; otherwise, we will refund the purchase price.
  • Here's how it works: Send an email to support@sternzeit-design.de with your order number and a brief description of the damage.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected. The warranty is free of charge for you.

Care

Vacuum regularly; treat stains with distilled water or mild soapy water (test on an inconspicuous area first), and do not soak.

What is piping?

Piping is a cord encased in a fabric strip. It is used to embellish the edge seams of upholstered furniture or cushions, while also reinforcing them and making them more durable.

Sustainability is a big word. Perhaps too big to use lightly. In an industry that likes to make promises, we believe in something simpler: taking responsibility for what we can actually influence. Not abstract offsets, but decisions that start right here in our workshop.

As a design manufacturer, we don’t make promises that we can’t physically verify on the other side of the world. Instead, we focus on what’s right in front of us: local integrity. Our wood is FSC-certified, our supply chains are short, and our production takes place right here at home. We don’t plant imaginary trees—we build furniture that lasts.
