The Acapulco Series – design classics from the ’50s!
What do John Wayne, Elvis Presley, James Dean and John F. Kennedy have in common?
Well … all will be rumored that they should have more than once in these legendary chairs sitting, watched the sun sets into the Pacific bay of Acapulco. No wonder, because Acapulco was finally the place to be for America’s movie stars of the 50s and 60s.
Whether in the garden, on the patio or in the living room – the whole Acapulco series just looks amazing! Airy structures that can be used both outside and inside and convey an immediate holiday feeling. The Acapulco’s are carefully crafted by hand. The metal frame of the chair is galvanized and powder coated, and thus highly resistant and completely weather-resistant. Of course, it consists of one piece (no assembly required as in models from inferior production partly common).
Of course, we only use weather-resistant and UV stable plastic lines, which are also tested for harmful substances. The plastic cords do not contain harmful amounts of plasticizers and heavy metals. Pleasantly soft rubber covers ensure that the armchair does not scratch sensitive floors (eg parquet) even indoors.
The Acapulco Chair Classic has a slightly curved shape that tapers toward the top. This offers a very good back support and is the concept of a deck chair most similar. It offers a great comfort that can be best described with a combination of hammock and relaxing chair. Our Acapulco models are also tightly covered, so you may experience no unpleasant pressure points on your back or legs after prolonged sitting.
